Hari- Ki- Pauri
A sacred site constructed by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhatihari who came down to the city to meditate on the banks of the holy Ganga. The site offers an enchanting sight during twilight with the golden shades of floral diyas (earthen lighted lamps) reflected in the river Ganga.
The river bank temple where Lord Hari’s footprint consecrates is also a must to visit site. The Ghat which is located nearby is also considered the most sacred and auspicious point to bath in the holy river Ganga during the Kumbh and Ardh mela.
Sapt Rishi Ashram and Sapt Sarovar
It is a holy site in the Haridwar popularised by the legend of the Saptarshis, the seven sages who were deep in meditation. River Ganga who did not want to disturb them split herself into seven streams, Sapt Sarovar around them. It is an ideal destination in a Hindu Pilgrimage tour.
Situated at the top of the Bilwa Parwat this temple is dedicated to Goddesss Mansa Devi. You will be fascinated by the rope- way with its brightly coloured cable cars which will take you to the old hilltop of Mansa Devi.

Chandni Devi Temple
Dedicated to Goddess Chandni this temple is also called Siddhapitha. Situated at the hilltop near Haridwar the temple attracts many devotees with a myth that the goddess fulfils the wishes of her devotees.
Maya Devi Temple
It is an ancient temple dedicated to the Adhisthatri deity of Hardiwar also known as one of the Siddhapethas. The place is also believed to be the site where the hearts and navels of Goddess Sati had fallen.
This is an ancient temple of Daksha Mahadev which stands in the south Kankhal town. The place shares an old myth that King Prajpati, father of Sati, Lord Shiva’s first wife performed Yoga at this in which all the gods were invited. Since the king didn’t like Lord Shiva he did not invite him and it insulted Sati. She out of grief burnt herself in the Yagya Kund. Provoked by the incident followers of Lord Shiva killed Kinga Daksha. Later Lord Shiva brought him back to life.
