Also known as the Uttrakhand-Yatra, this pilgrimage India tour package takes you to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. These places are the four Dhams, which are together called the Char Dham. The tour takes you to these four holy places considered sacred by the Hindus. The ardent devotees will have the opportunity to move higher into the Himalayas, and also closer to God as the Himalayas are considered the abode of God. Thus, a pilgrimage to Kedarnath will give you complete spiritual satisfaction.

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

After arriving in Delhi, you will be met by one of our representatives who will guide you to the hotel.

Tour BokkingDay 02: Delhi - Dakpathar (230 kms)

DakpatharIn the morning take 9 hrs drive to Dakpahar by road or rail. Once arrived, pay a visit to
the Paonta Sahib Gurdwara. Nearby, are the still waters of the holy river Yamuna flowing beside the Gurudwara. You will have dinner and also stay the night at a hotel.

Day 03: Dakpathar - Sayanachatti (100 kms)

Once had breakfast, take an 8 hrs journey by means of rail or road to reach Sayanachatti. Midway you will be having your lunch. After arriving, you will have dinner and an overnight stay at Tourist Rest House.

Day 04: Sayanchatti - Hanumanchatti - Yamunotri - Kankichatti

YamunotriAfter having breakfast, leave for Hanumanchatti (by car or train), which is 6kms ½ hr drive. On visiting Hanumanchatti, walk to Yamunotri (14 kms and 4 hrs drive), which is the source of River Yamuna. The Gangotri is situated in the opposite direction on the Bandarpunch peak, at a height of 3235 m above sea level. It houses the holy shrine, which is one of the four dhams. A visit to the Gangotri is a must, in a tour of Hindu pilgrimage sites in the north. After arrival at 1300 hrs, have lunch and also perform the Darshan and Pooja. Move, from Yamunotri at 1530hrs to Jankichatti (6kms, 3 ½ hrs.) and you will reach the place in the evening. After arriving, have dinner and an overnight stay at the Tourist Rest House.

Tour Bokking Day 05: Jankichatti - Barkot – Uttarkashi

Uttarkashi TempleOn having breakfast, leave for Barkot (5 hrs) situated 41 kms away. You will reach there, midday. Once had lunch move to Uttarkashi (83 kms / 4 hrs) by bus at 1300 hrs. Uttarkashi lies behind the River Bhagirathi. After arriving there, visit the Vishwanath Temple. Have dinner and also spend the night at the Tourist Rest House.

Day 06: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Bhojbasa

Once had an early breakfast, proceed to Gangotri (100 kms/ 4 hrs) by means of road or rail. Gangotri, which is located at an altitude of 3200 m above sea level, offers a picturesque sight. According to mythology King Bhagirath's heavy meditation brought down Ganga to Earth.

Gangotri is the place where Ganga, also known as the daughter of heaven landed on earth. Gangotri is covered with snow from November and the common belief is that the Goddess moves off to Mukhba. Mukhba is her abode in winter that is about 12 kms downstream. Have lunch and move to Bhojbasa (16 kms / 6 hrs) by trekking. Have dinner and also stay at Tourist Guest House for the night.

Day 07: Bhojbasa - Gaumukh - Bhojbasa - Gangotri

GaumukhAfter an early breakfast, head to Gaumukh (3 kms / 2 hrs) by walk. Gaumukh, the glacier from which the river Bhagirathi (Ganga) originates is considered to be sacred by devotees. After a sacred dip in the icy cold waters of the river, do the Pooja and then move back to Bhojbasa. After having lunch there at 1100hrs, move ahead to Gangotri (19 kms / 5 hrs) at 1200 hrs by road or rail. Perform Aarti, have a Darshan and do a pooja at the Gangotri. Have dinner and also stay at the Tourist Rest House.

Tour Bokking Day 08: Gangotri - Uttarkashi – Srinagar

Once had breakfast early, move over to Uttarkashi (100 kms) by means of road or rail. It is a 4 hrs journey from Gangotri. After lunch, proceed to Srinagar (2 ½ hrs journey) that is 211 kms away, by road or rail at 1300 hrs. Srinagar is on the bank of the River Alaknanda. It was once was the capital of Garhwal before the British rule. After arriving, have dinner and also a night stay at the Tourist Rest House.

Day 09: Srinagar - Chandrapuri - Gaurikund – Kedarnath

In the morning, proceed to Chandrapuri (56 kms 2 ½ hrs) by car or train. After arriving, have breakfast and head to Gaurikund (5 kms/2 hrs), trekking. Dip into the holy waters of
Taptkund & Gourikund and have lunch. Move over to Kedarnath (14 kms/ 5 hrs.), trekking. Kedarnath is one of the four Dhams that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the legendary mythology, Mahabharat the Pandavas did heavy meditation to wash off the sin of killing their kith and kin in the famous war of Kurukshetra. They set up the shrine in Kedarnath in which one of the twelve Jyotrilingas' of Lord Shiva is there. In Kedarnath, perform "Aarti" Darshan & Pooja. Have dinner and also spend the night at the Tourist Rest House.

Day 10: Kedarnath - Gaurikund – Rudraprayag

KedarnathOnce had breakfast, proceed back to Gaurikund (14 kms) by a 4hrs walk. Once arrived at 1400hrs have lunch. At 1500 hrs, make a move to Rudraprayag (a 4hrs journey), which is 87kms away. You will have dinner and also an overnight at Tourist Rest House.

Day 11: Rudraprayag - Joshimath - Badrinath (114 kms)

Once had breakfast, take a 4 hrs drive to Joshimath by means of road or rail. After arriving at 12:00 hrs have lunch. Leave for Badrinath (42 kms) at 1400 hrs. It is a 2 hrs drive. 3133 m above sea level, Shankaracharya rebuilt it in the 9th century. After arriving perform 'Aarti', Darshan and Pooja. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the Tourist Rest House.

Tour BokkingDay 12: Badrinath – Joshimath

BadrinathOnce had breakfast, carry out “Aarti”, Darshan and Pooja after taking a holy dip in the Tapta Kund at Badrinath. It is considered a sacred ritual as the water, here has medicinal properties. It is a major pilgrimage site in a religious India tour. Have lunch and make a move, by road or rail to Joshimath that is 42 kms away (a 2 hrs drive) at 1400 hrs. Once arrived pay a visit to Narasinh Temple and Jyotirmath Temple-the place where Adi Shankaracharya meditated under a tree and set up the math in the 8th century. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the tourist Rest House.

Day 13: Joshimath - Srinagar - Kaudilya

After having breakfast, make a move to Srinagar (146 kms) by car or train. It is a 6 hrs journey. Have lunch after arriving at 1400 hrs and head to Kaudilya (30 kms, a 3 hrs drive) by road or rail. Have dinner and also stay at the Tourist Rest House.

Day 14: Kaudilya - Haridwar – Delhi

HaridwarIn the morning, make a move to Haridwar by rail or road. It is a 55 kms (4 ½ hrs) drive. Once arrived, have breakfast and go around Haridwar, sightseeing. After having lunch at 1300 hrs, leave for Delhi (200 kms) by road or rail. It is a 5½ hrs journey. With this, your India tour ends. Shift to the hotel.

Day 15: Delhi – Homewards
