Situated in the sacred city of Puri in Orissa the Konark Temple is devoted to the God Surya or Sun. The temple is a marvel of medieval architecture and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The capital city of Orissa-Bhubneswar as the name suggests-'abode of God' is one of the well known pilgrimages in India. The city cherishes an account of having 7000 temples out of which 500 still survives these temples with their extravagant Oriya architecture are the hub of spirituality and devotion in the region.

Dakshineswar Temple in Kolkata is situated on the eastern bank of famous Hooghly River; the temple is devoted to goddess Kali. This is a huge edifice and has the places of worship of different Hindu Gods such as Lord Shiva and the temple complex also consists of a Lord Krishna's temple. It is here that Ramkrishna Paramhansa attained salvation here. Thus the temple is one of the most famous places of worship in India.

Kamakhya Temple in Assam is another significant Hindu East India pilgrimage site. It is believed to be a Shakti Temple and is situated on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati dedicated to different forms of the Mother Goddess.These pilgrimages in India are renowned for the deep faith and belief of the devotees in the divine presence.Tour Bokking
