Kamakhya Temple in Assam is another significant Hindu East India pilgrimage site. It is believed to be a Shakti Temple and is situated on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati dedicated to different forms of the Mother Goddess.These pilgrimages in India are renowned for the deep faith and belief of the devotees in the divine presence.
